Is this invoice generator free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up. Build the invoice, check the live totals and print or save as PDF from your browser.

How are discount and tax calculated?

Subtotal is quantity times rate for each line, added together. The discount percentage comes off the subtotal first. Tax is then charged on the amount after discount, and the total is that discounted amount plus its tax. Every intermediate figure is shown so you can verify it.

Is this accounting or tax advice? Will my invoice be legally compliant?

No. This is a document generator that does the arithmetic, not accounting, tax or legal advice. Whether you must charge tax, which rate applies, which registration number to show and how invoices must be numbered depend on your country and status. Verify them with your tax authority or an accountant before sending.

Is my invoice uploaded or stored?

No upload happens. The invoice is built in your browser and printed with your browser's own print function. The draft is saved only in this browser on this device so you can return to it, and Clear All removes it. Save the PDF yourself — there is no server copy.

Which currencies are supported and how are they formatted?

Sixteen currencies are listed, including USD, EUR, GBP, PKR, INR, AED, JPY and others. Amounts are formatted with the browser's Intl.NumberFormat for the chosen currency, so grouping, decimal separators and zero-decimal currencies follow that currency's conventions.
